After 44 hours of flying and waiting at airports we finally made it. Nothing felt better than the cool breeze as we walked from the plane into the terminal, with a 360 panoramic view of snow capped mountains.

14 hours of deep sleep later and we felt half decent enough to go for an explore. Food, ski pass, climbing guide book and we were set for our first week.

First impressions of Queenstown is of a full on resort town, lots of tourist, lots of travelers, lots to do and everyone's super friendly. Other than trying to get over sleeping in a time zone 11 hours ahead, eating the best burger in the world and cookies for breakfast, the first week has flown by. Looking forward to the rest of the winter weeks.
