After yesterdays afternoon ski and Jo arriving last night, we couldn't really come up with a plan with the OK weather forecast. In the end we took a walk up Carn Mor Dearg to see if we could get a view of the Ben or arête.
A late start put us in the few remaining spaces in the north face car park and up the access path in warm temperatures. For an okish forecast the weather was great with some fine views over the glens and half a view of the north face. Once in the cloud however, poor Lucy started to feel a bit sick from the flat light but soldiered on to the top. The long old slog up the broad ridge did have a great reward though, as we found we could have nice long bum slides back down using our axes to break.
Fingers crossed that the forecasted winds aren't as strong as their predicting.
